Zyre Domination
A Zyre Domination Capture Tower.
King of the Hill Has Come to Zyre
Zyre now has a new automatically-running PvP event: Domination, a party-based capture mode that turns one of Zyre’s regions into a fight for control, loot, and bragging rights. During Domination, parties battle over a central capture tower. Take control, defend it from rival parties, and collect the rewards it produces while you hold the point.
How Domination Works
A Domination event is split into three 10-minute rounds. At the beginning of each round, the capture point moves to a new major region of Zyre.
To take control, your party needs to establish a majority of players inside the capture zone surrounding the tower. More party members on the point means a faster capture, while opposing players inside the zone will contest it and prevent either side from making progress.
Once captured, the tower changes to the controlling party’s colors and remains theirs until another party takes it.
The capture zone itself is protected from terrain modification, so fights around the tower are about PvP rather than building or breaking your way through the objective.
Loot the Tower
While a party controls the point, loot sprays from the tower roughly every 30 seconds for members of the controlling party to collect. Picked-up rewards are sent directly to Escrow, keeping inventories clear in the middle of the fight.
The loot pool can include rewards such as:
Shards
Mending Books
Diamonds
Webbed Bolas
Ancient Ingots
Sentry Armor Trims
Ruined Essence
A portion of items lost through deaths during the event
When each 10-minute round ends, whichever party controls the tower receives the final loot spray before the objective relocates and the next battle begins. There is no longer a party-size cap, so bring whoever you can and expect fights between groups of all sizes.
Joining the Fight
Five minutes before Domination begins, players are removed from Zyre and entry is temporarily closed. This gives everyone a chance to organize their parties before the event starts.
Once Domination goes live, party members can drop back into Zyre and head toward the active objective. The region containing the tower is highlighted on the Aladra drop map, and the Zyre compass provides a waypoint toward the flag.
During the event, the Corruption is frozen, preventing the storm from rotating through the battlefield midway through a round.
Domination currently runs daily, alternating between afternoon and evening event times similar to Fishing Tournaments, with a network-wide announcement before it begins.
18 New Achievements
Domination also launches with 18 new achievements, covering everything from first captures and long holds to comebacks, shutouts, solo accomplishments, and win streaks.
Whether you’re coming for the loot, the achievements, or simply another excuse to fight everyone on Zyre, there’s now something worth fighting over every day. Capture Forth!
