Loka’s first Open Dungeon is here. Venture to the Dark Reaches off the eastern coast of Balak, descend through one of four cave entrances, and explore the four wings of the Deep Dark. Hidden loot, rare resources, and the Warden await below.
Explore. Loot. Escape.
The Deep Dark is a shared PvPvE dungeon: everyone can enter, PvP is enabled under Yellow Tag rules, and all loot is Unstable. If monsters or other players kill you, you’ll drop what you found. The challenge is getting it home.
Find your Loot Bundles. Each player has a personal set of hidden bundles, including four soulbound Deep Dark Vault Keys.
Unlock the Resource Vaults. Harvest amethyst, archaeology finds, dripstone, and sculk. The rest of the dungeon is in Adventure Mode; shulkers can only be placed inside the vaults.
Survive the Swarm. Pull the central gate levers together to open your escape route—but the noise brings a swarm of monsters and a Warden.
Make it out. Hold a Levitation Pad for eight seconds without taking damage, then rise through the Deep Dark Portal into the loot room.
Rewards from the Depths
Discover Swift Sneak and Mending books, Ward and Silence armor trims, Echo Shards, and more. Complete optional objectives to earn extra reward bundles when you escape. Four new cosmetic helms are also waiting to be found, including the legendary Warden Horns.
Echo Shards can also be crafted into Sonic Arrows, which fire a beam of sculk energy from a regular bow and strike instantly up to 64 blocks away.
Plan Your Run
Your loot bundles, vault access, and objectives reset 64 hours after your run begins. Return as often as you like within that cycle, with objective progress carrying across deaths and re-entries.
Use /dungeon to track objectives and /cal to check your reset. There is no /leave inside the dungeon—escape through the portal or use a Recall Stone.
For the full mechanics, loot tables, and achievement details, read the Deep Dark forum announcement.
Go forth—and get your loot home.
