Form your town and fight to become the Capital of your continent and all of Loka!
Starting Your Town
where to set up
In order to start your town, you will first want to gather 2 friends and determine which continent and territory you want to claim as your own. Then you’ll want to travel there and locate the inhibitor pad in that territory. Standing on its pressure plate will give you a prompt to begin the process of claiming your town.
claiming your town
Once the inhibitor comes online, you will be able to attack and claim the territory for yourself and your friends. Once done you will all need to speak to the NPC inside the generator in order to officially form your town. You will recieve a town portal, which you can use to travel freely to and from spawn and can begin building your empire.
power shards
You will want to be sure you have grabbed enough power shards before you make your town. Towns require a daily (24-hr) upkeep to run. You can acquire power shards by converting Iron, Gold, DIamond, and Lapis in the ore exchanger at spawn.
block protection, walls & doors
Towns have block protection so your builds are safe from being griefed. Careful though, PvP is still enabled and foreign players can still raid you! You don’t need to build ugly boxes though, as walls will keep most people out due to Elytras and pearls being disabled inside foreign towns. You can also lock doors and hatches with Loka’s locking system, so no blocking up doorways with dirt.
town chats & private discord channels
Towns are automatically given their own text and voice channel on Loka’s discord server. The text channel is synced with your private town chat, allowing you and your members to communicate even if you’re not all online.
joining a town
If starting a town isn’t your cup of tea, you can instead join an existing player-run town. Simply asking in chat will likely land you multiple invites, but if you are a bit pickier you can view all the towns on the server and formally apply to one that takes your fancy.
